Start-up Website Design

I designed and developed the website for my startup Arcane.

Framer

Figma

Description

At Arcane our landing page went through many iterations over the years as our product evolved. We worked with a few web designers early on but never landed on a quality that we liked. After a while I decided to redesign it myself, taking inspiration from other websites that we respected and felt would resonate with our target customer.

While I'm still not happy with how it ended up due to our time constraints, it was good enough to get us live and onboarding new users.

Below I have listed all the pages on our website and have called out any noteworthy design decisions.

Landing page

We experimented multiple times with our tagline based on learnings from customer conversations, and our walkthrough video evolved almost weekly as we updated the platform. We opted for mockups of our platform core user journey for our 'how it works' section which did lead to an increase in site conversion.

Pricing page

Standard SaaS pricing page, we never launched our paid tier/s so this was intended to funnel users into creating a free account.

Careers page

We focussed on showing our team throughout our careers page, and added some micro-interactions when hovering/ clicking on these. We ended up sourcing some amazing specialised recruiters so didn't need to rely on this page too much for our hiring but it got our message across to prospective candidates.

Blog page

Fairly standard blog page, categories and author/ role listed and we added a tl;dr section which became the copy in our social post linking to the new blog article.

Changelog page

Simple changelog page, managed through framer CMS, we would always set up our 'announcement' content as part of our initial PRD in Linear which made populating these much easier.
